How to apply
Before the ice bonds, not after.
Spread early
Apply before snow or ice accumulates. Salt laid down early stops ice bonding to the surface, which is far easier than breaking a bond that has already formed.
Less than you think
Spread evenly and avoid piling. Over-application wastes product and is the main cause of damage to vegetation, concrete and metal.
Clear the slush
Remove the resulting slush and re-apply as needed. Leaving it to refreeze undoes the work.
Wear gloves when handling and spreading. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Full directions and first aid information are printed on every bag.
